We’ve owned a house in Moustiers for 30 years and this is our favorite restaurant in the village! The seafood is fresh and delicious; Ivan is a gracious and welcoming host. Highly recommended!

Came here after reading the reviews, totally didnt expect such food quality in a small village. Chef hospitality is amazing. Its so delicious that We ordered 3 courses for 2 people! Seafood platter, vongole and seabass!

AMAZING FOOD!!! We got the catch of the day (sea bass) and Linguine with clamps. They were both absolutely delicious. I haven’t had fish like this in a looooooong time. The vibes are great and you don’t need reservations.. it’s a hidden gem. We also got their chocolate dessert with passion fruit gelato DELICIOUS!!! Please be patient and you’ll get a meal worth your wait! You’ll leave the place high in happiness

I had been traveling Europe for a few weeks and while I had some good meals, my meal at Chez Dan was the best of the lot.I ordered 2 Linguine Vongolle and 2 Grilled Seabass for 4 people.The portion was perfect... No one was left hungry.The Linguine Vongolle, we requested to be cooked without alcohol and they happily obliged. The balance of flavour was perfect. There was a touch of spice from some chillies, the garlic was perfect the slight broth was a delight to have with the bread they served us.The Grilled Seabass... Simply stunning. Just the right amount of salt, the fish meat was perfectly cooked and moist. The potatoes that came with the Sea Bass... Wow. It was the dark horse. Really stole the show. It was buttery and caramelised and had some crisp parts.All in all, I had the best meal on this unassuming seafood restaurant in a little corner of a tiny village, run by 2 cousins.If that's not a European fairy tale, I don't know what is.
